Meet the Board of Directors
Fanny Fernandez
Vice- Chair
As the Vice- Chair, Fanny
chairs committees on special subjects as designated by the board.
She is also in charge of presiding over meetings, signing contracts, and other presidential duties when the president is absent.
Additionally, she is trusted with ensuring the president's directions are implemented and followed through.
Fanny also heads committees and acts like a liaison between the board.
Jordan Jones,
MSW LICSW
Secretary
As the Secretary, Jordan keeps records of board actions, including overseeing the taking of minutes at all board meetings. She is in charge of meeting announcements and setting the agenda for board meetings. Jordan also assures that corporate records are maintained.

Jordan is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who has experience working in residential settings, community-based care, and outpatient psychotherapy. She currently provides trauma-focused individual psychotherapy to adults. Jordan enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, foraging for mushrooms, and gardening.
Mica Cavuoto,
MS LPCC
Technology Officer
As the Technology officer, Mica
chairs the technology committee. Most of her focus is dedicated to overseeing the development and maintenance of resources such as the organization’s website and communication of trainings and opportunities for members.

Mica is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and is also a board-approved supervisor by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy. as well as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) by the National Board of Certified Counselors. In her practice, offers psychotherapy to individuals- children and adults- and families, and offers clinical supervision to independently licensed clinicians.

Mica enjoys sewing, photography, scuba diving and spending time with her loved ones.

Abbie Dieh
Treasurer
As the treasurer, Abbie facilitates financial reports at each board meeting. She chairs the finance committee.
Abbie assists in the preparation of the budget, helps develop fundraising plans and makes financial information available to board members and the public.
Additionally, she advices regarding potential opportunities, risks and tax implications of current and future financial plans. She is who the board consults with regarding grants, proposals, investments and plans regarding unexpected funds and/or cash flow shortages.
Nancy Ortega,

General Board Member
Nancy is a Board Member of El Consorcio MN. She co-chairs the Outreach Committee, focused on planning monthly trainings/meetings. She received her Bachelors in social work (BSW) and her Masters degree, focused in Multicultural Clinical Social Work (MSW), from Augsburg University. Her Mexican-American cultural identity and life experiences motivate her to continue to dedicate her work to the mental health field, primarily providing services to Latinx clients, since 2017.
Carolina Melguizo,

Member
As a General Board Member, Carolina attends meetings as outlined in the bylaws. She is part of the Outreach Committee. As a general member, she co-creates vision, mission and values, while also assists in setting strategy and structure.
Carolina Melguizo Gentry is originally from Colombia, South America, and has been working with multicultural communities in Minnesota, in different roles, since she arrived in the Twin Cities 17 years ago. She has a Law Degree with Emphasis in Economic Law from Colombia and later earned a Master's in Multicultural Clinical Social Work from Augsburg University.

Membership
Membership is open to anyone in the Twin Cities who works with Latinx children, adults, and/or families in a clinical, educational, medical, or social service role. The Consortium currently has about 260 members from a variety of mental health and social service agencies, schools, hospitals, medical clinics, county human service teams, and private therapy practices in Hennepin, Ramsey, Anoka, and Dakota counties. In 2020, the group started charging membership fees, after the organization was formalized and the website developed.
