Buenas tardes, colegas,
I hope everyone is doing well! I wanted to share with you all that CLUES Behavioral Health is working toward certification as a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). Our CCBHC will be called Abriendo Caminos. We recently received the exciting news that we obtained a $4M SAMHSA CCBHC expansion grant. This grant will help us to build our capacity to provide immediate access to the Latino community to the broad array of integrated Behavioral Health services that the CCBHC includes. They are:
Mental Health therapy (telehealth, office-based and school-based)
Substance Use Disorder treatment (our integrated Mental Health/SUD program)
Children’s Therapeutic Supports and Services (CTSS—which is behavioral skills for kids in community settings)
Adult and Children’s Mental Health Case Management Services
Psychiatry
Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS—which is skills work for adults in community settings)
Peer Recovery Specialist (We are developing a peer recovery specialist training program in Spanish to help those who have gone through recovery give back to Latino participants in recovery through paid peer recovery specialist positions.)
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), which is treatment of addictions through medication.
ACT (Assertive Community Treatment—treatment of community members who have severe and persistent mental illness, in the community setting.)
Services focused on Children 0-5 and their caregivers.
We are currently recruiting for several mental health therapists, two dual track MH/SUD therapists, two intake specialists/care coordinators, an ARMHS worker, an adult mental health case manager, and for a Manager to supervise ARMHS and/or Adult MH Case Management. There is a possibility that we will need another Manager level supervisor to supervise additional clinicians. If anyone has interest, or has someone in their network who is interested, please contact Benjamin Feigal, Director of Behavioral Health Services at bfeigal@clues.org. We will be posting the positions in the next few weeks.
Many of you know that over the years, we have not been able to meet the demand for services, and like many agencies, we have had a waiting list. This waiting list has only increased during the pandemic. We have a goal of adding enough capacity to be able to eliminate the waiting list by the end of 2021. I am so excited about this new direction for CLUES and the access it will provide to culturally responsive BH services. This has been an incredible team effort from our staff at CLUES. Please let me know if you have any questions I can answer about CCBHC or CLUES.
CuÃdense,
Benjamin Feigal
