ABOUT US
El Consorcio is an interdisciplinary group of service professionals that fosters connection, empowerment, and professional growth in order to improve access to culturally responsive services within the Latinx community.

COMMUNITY
El Consorcio currently has about 260 members from a variety of mental health and social service agencies, schools, hospitals, medical clinics, county human service teams, and private therapy practices in Hennepin, Ramsey, Anoka, and Dakota counties.

EDUCATION
El Consorcio exists to reduce providers’ barriers to culturally informed continuing education, networking, care coordination, linguistic consultation, identifying and addressing service gaps for Latinx clients, and systems-level advocacy.

RESOURCES
El Consorcio provides members with valuable therapy services. Our Spanish Clinical Language and Resource Guide outlines a comprehensive list of Spanish-language mental health, social service, and other frequently accessed resources, as well as interpretations of commonly used vocabulary.
MEETING SCHEDULE
Meeting content tends to alternate between speakers with extensive experience working with Latinx clients who focus on specific clinical questions or practice areas, and more fluid resource sharing, networking, and strategizing.
Meetings occur monthly. They alternate between the third Tuesday and the third Friday of the month, 8:30-10:00 AM. The meeting location rotates between members’ practice locations. Certificates of Attendance are provided for meetings with speakers and panelists. Snacks are provided for meetings by volunteers from within the group. Minutes are sent for folks who are not able to attend.
